WordPress is, by its developer community, seen as a perfect match for intranets. In the real world most companies sees SharePoint as a perfect match for their intranet. Since 2009 I’ve been working and talking about both WordPress and SharePoint with our customers nearly every day and there is quite a lot that needs to be done to bring WordPress as a serious alternative for most businesses.
Though in 2014 we got the possibility to build a social intranet for Reitan Convenience Sweden, owner of Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven with ~5000 employees, on WordPress. This talk will tell the story of what we learned and how it should be done 😉
